Porcelain Black was your average 8 Mile child that grew up in Motown , Motor City aka Detroit. Like many American kids in today's world, Porcelain Black's parents broke up. Later in life, Black found out her father was dieing of cancer and , this cause Porcelain Black to rebel against the machine.
Black gain some of her musical influence from her father, who was an industry dude, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix. As she became a teenager , she was influence by Britney Spears and Marlyn Manson
"My first concert was ACDC with my dad," she remembers. "We'd listen to Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix."
Rocking out was not Porcelain Black first choice in the entertainment industry. She wanted to be a dancer and actress. Black took jazz, tap, hip-hop, and ballet.
"I was training to go on Broadway or come out to L.A. and be a backup dancer," .. "But I was wasting my time," she attests. "I knew I wanted to do music."
