Radio veteran Olivia Fox is one of seven kidney patient-advocates who will visited Capitol Hill on World Kidney Day. Fox, who has been heard on WKYS and WMMJ, has end-stage renal disease and relies on dialysis to filter waste products from her bloodstream. Today and tomorrow, Fox and other patient-advocates will meet with their Congressional delegations to help raise awareness of the prevalence and causes of kidney disease, ways it can be prevented, and the often devastating financial consequences for patients with kidney failure
