Well, 100.3 da beat is gone. Radio One tried everything to make the beat turn a few more dollars. Radio hire big guns such as Star and Buc Wild and before that Charlamange Da God. According to Dcrtv.com , Radio paid 80 million for 100.3 but, 100.3 beat did not meat it is goal. The best thing the Beat fans can do is call the station before September 1, 2011 and ask for 100.3 paraphernalia. The paraphernalia will make great collectors items.

The only good news for the death of the 100.3 is 107 will get a stronger signal and give WDAS more competition. Radio One has been happy with the numbers of 107 and will keep it alive.

Has Radio One sold a little bit of her self to stay in business. According to dcrtv, Radio One has new deal with NBC. This is based around Interactive One. Apparently, Radio One has a hell of a sells team and plans to partner up with NBC websites or web properties to reach the African American community.

dcrtv:"The relationship also opens up the potential for co-marketing and promotional opportunities in a shared portfolio that includes Interactive One's various digital assets, including Lanham-based parent Radio One's 52 radio stations, TV One, and Reach Media, and the many platforms of NBC News. Locally, Radio One owns WKYS, WMMJ, WOL, WOLB, WERQ, WWIN-FM/AM, WPRS, and WYCB. Comcast-NBC owns Channel 4/WRC, Comcast cable TV systems, and Comcast SportsNet....."
