Heard a very interesting bit of information recently.
At the boys' distrcit tournament, held at lake Braddock, Woodson lost to TC by 1. Evidently there was very foul at the end of the game that should have been called against TC, and cost Woodson the game. Well, the Woodson coach was furious, chased the referees off the court, then got in the face of the (I think) Lake Braddock assistant AD, screaming that he wanted the tape sent to the VHSL. Then, the Lake Braddock AD, Mark Martino, came up behind the Woodson coach and wrapped him in a bear hug and pulled him away from the assistant AD. The Woodson coach said something like, "get your F***ing hands off of me". Bad enouogh so far.
So, Martino calls the Woodson AD and tells him the Woodson coach should be suspended for their first Regional tournament game, and the Woodson AD complies! Woodson then lost to Fairfax!
