MAYOR THOMPSON will host her first business expo. This event will be on March 23 in Harrisburg, PA at the Farm Show Complex, Cameron Street Entrance, 2301 N. Cameron Street. The start time is 8:00 and there is a 40 dollar fee.
The City joins the Naval Supply Systems Command, the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in setting the stage for new and existing businesses to explore contracting opportunities, RFP processes, best practices as well as Minority and Women Business Enterprise certification and networking opportunities.
"This is an exciting opportunity to develop small business initiatives and opportunities in the City," Mayor Thompson said today. "Sixty-percent of new job development results from small businesses, and this program will provide a time and place for city entrepreneurs to gain information and network with key contacts." She added.
