If you live in the DMV, you have heard of the "Home Team" on WPGC radio aka CBS radio. The Home team consist of Rane and DJ Flexx. For the last 11 years, this super hero radio tandem has broadcasted in the DC , MD, VA and parts of WV area.
Recently, Rane has realized she has been under paid . Rane path into the business has been through education from a communication degree and ,she currently holds a law degree. While DJ Flexx holds an High School Diploma and maybe some college credits.
Rane allegedly intern her way up in the radio game and Dj Flexx more then likely build a fan base by Djing and some how ended up working at the radio station.
Although in the real world Rane is a more marketable candidate for various jobs , Rane and DJ Flexx work in the entertainment industry . Education may little value there.
Rane maybe justified in seeking equal pay because of the structure of the show. The show is build as the home team and not the DJ Flexx show.
Rane has conducted various interviews and made the following statements about the lawsuit
"He was distraught, I was distraught, it was uncomfortable, it was awkward," she says. "I said, 'Flexx, you have a wife, a daughter in college, it's not your job to determine my salary â€" you don’t sign my checks."
"It's not about him," she says of Flexx. "If it were up to him I’d be making a lot more. I didn’t want people to think that this is something between Flexx and I â€" people try to make it into something it’s not. This is about CBS." source
