Although Rawlings-Blake is announcing a summer food program, Mayor Rawlings-Blake has failed to provided a plan that will take the large disadvantage people of her political voting base from beggars to feeders or not dependent on hand outs. Rawlings-Blake may not be measuring up to her fathers legacy that help and pushed people ahead.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake was joined by city and state officials, business partners, and former NFL pro Antonio Freeman to announce details about the 2011 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The program, which is administered by Baltimore Housing’s Office of Community Services, will officially start on June 20th and will run though August 19th, 2011. Children ages 18 and under will receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch five days a week during the summer months when schools are closed.

“I want to thank our public and private partners for their support of the Summer Food Service Program, and of our children,” said Mayor Rawlings-Blake. “The program provides free meals to needy children so they can get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow throughout the summer months.”
