Well, ladies or maybe a gentleman , you can now get that dream date with Lamman Rucker without chasing him down on Facebook or some random internet dating site. Rucker is apart of a fund raiser auction with the backing of former members of Project Runway. The theme of this event is fashion with a purpose. The event is raising funds for The Cinderella Foundation. The Cinderella Foundation is a non- profit [501(c)(3)] organization designed to empower African American and African girls and women living in high risk and low income communities in the Washington Metropolitan region and abroad. The program works with girls through ongoing mentoring and academic enrichment, thereby strengthening their self-esteem and the women of Sierra Leone, West Africa providing cosmetology training to create economic opportunity to support themselves and their families in their war-torn country. "Over the last 8 years, I've been a witness to how small acts of kindness have transformed the lives of young girls in the DC community and women in Sierra Leone through the efforts of the Cinderella Foundation. This event is an opportunity to share this inspiration with a broader community who also share my passion for high fashion, fantastic hair and make-up and, of course, helping others," stated Diane Cole Stevens, Founder of the Cinderella Foundation. Rucker and Trainer Mark Jenkins are just a small part of the auction. The event will have alumni from the Project Runway cast such as Korto Momolu, Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman, Zulema Griffin and Jerell Scott which will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 (2PM-5PM) at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Ballroom. The hosts of the event are LaVar Arrington ,Lindsay Harding and Katie Smith.
