1. You can easily destroy your marriage if you don't communicate well with your partner. You have to stay in tune with each other, and the only way to do this is by sharing your joys, sorrows, concerns, and daily life with each other and listening carefully to what your partner has to say.

2. Cheating on your partner will also easily destroy the marriage. If you ever break your partner's trust, then you will have a very difficult time getting it back. A marriage without honesty and trust isn't going to survive very long.

3. If partners are unwilling to compromise with each other, and conflict can easily occur. In any working relationship, everyone involved needs to give and take. 4. Your marriage can also be destroyed because of an irresponsible spending. Going deeply into debt is extremely stressful and can lead to many other problems.

5. If either party is 100% selfish, the relationship isn't going to work out. No one, no matter how strong a personality, can tolerate a self-centered spouse for long. Even the best partner will get tired of it.

6. You may be tempted to spend all of your time with each other in the beginning and even let many of your friends go, but this will cause problems down the line. It is necessary to spend time with different types of people instead of spending all of your time with only your partner.

7. Withholding sex is not going to be tolerated in this generation. Your partner will most likely find someone else to fulfill his or her needs if you make the mistake of withholding sex from them.

8. Do your best to avoid holding grudges against your partner. Try to work out all of your problems before going to bed angry.

If you saw the Oprah Winfrey version of Love and Hip Hop on VH1, you noticed all the separate interviews. One may have noticed the women were given a chance to re establish themselves outside of the editing and the facts.

The eldest daughter of the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson became a full-time talk-show host after producing TV and radio shows for her father. The Movie Red Tails that depicts the challenges and heroism of the Tuskegee Airmen during WWII will be in movie theaters January 20th. This movie is produced by George Lucas (Yes, the Star Wars and Indiana Jones George Lucas). George Lucas was on the Tom Joyner Morning show today and he discussed the challenges he had getting this movie into the theaters because he could not find anyone in Hollywood that would invest the marketing dollars to get it in theaters. The Hollywood investors said that they just didn't know how well an "all black action movie" would play to the movie going audience. As a result, Lucas, Oprah and Tyler Perry put up the remaining $35 million to get the film to the theaters. The total cost of the film is $100 million.

My challenge to all of us is to prove Hollywood wrong and let's get the word out to see a movie that shows the accurate history and determination of "real" American Heroes. Now, we will spend the money to see fictitious characters like Laura Craft, Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker, Jason Bourne, James Bond and the likes. Let's go out and spend $300 million to see real American Heroes depicted in the movies! Vote with your dollars!

Fox, to speak during their Black Women's Roundtable (BWR) 2012 Healthy, Wealthy and Wise National Empowerment Tour taking place Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center in Mims, FL. The goal of the free event is to bring together national and local experts to educate and uplift underserved women and girls. "We want to see women and girls of all ages to come together to share problems and information and support one another in sisterhood," said Salandra Benton, convener of The Florida Coalition on Black Civic Participation, a local affiliate of The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation.

In addition to Fox's appearance, speakers include: Melanie L. Campbell, BWR National Convener; Honorable Michael Blake, Mayor of Cocoa, FL; and Carolyn Thompson, Advancement Project. There will be a mini-expo, a fitness walk and roundtable listening sessions addressing violence against women and girls, healthy living, jobs, and wealth. There will be a special tribute to BWR members and Mims natives, Ruby Campbell Pulliam and Adrienne Dennis.
